If you do an interview with us, here’s what to expect:
The first step is a virtual meeting to get to know you and your career. If you’re a good fit, we will ask if you want to continue to the next step.
If you say yes…
Step two is for us to send you a list of questions we may want to discuss during the interview and a release form. We’ll give you some time to go over them and decide if you want to continue to the next step. Don’t worry, you don’t need to write out your responses to the questions. Though, it might be helpful to jot down some things that come to mind so you know what you would generally say.
If you decide to continue…
The third step is a virtual meeting for us to discuss the questions and your comfort with them. We’ll also ask whether you have suggestions for other questions or the focus of the interview. We will then ask if you would like to continue to the interview.
If you say yes…
Step four is the interview. If you are local to Ottawa, we’ll do this in person if you are comfortable doing so. If not, this will be done virtually. This interview will have a conversational format, like two friends talking. Nothing has to be, or should be, perfect. Come as yourself, that’s who we want to interview.
The fifth step is the release of the interview in its entirety, in clips, and segments in promotional content on our socials and on our website. The interview will be released to you for your use as well. Note that a watermark will be included in the footage.
Later on, there is the potential for an interview to develop into an opportunity to do an event with us. An event is a paid speaking engagement where you would discuss your career and respond to questions from the attendees. We will ask you your interest in doing one or more event once the interview has been done. We will then contact you should the market lend itself to an event.
